DR.DEATH'S REDEMPTION

Dr.Death's 32,000 year journey

EPISODE 41: THE GREAT WHITE THUNDER STORM

We watched in awe as the storm grew in ferocity, the clouds filled the void of the night forming a vortex around the full moon. Lacerta explained to me the significance of this astrological event and described how it altered the state of the living on the planet below. On my home planet, I recalled, is a common myth that under a full moon wolves cried out towards it and it turned humans into werewolves, part man part beast. This is no myth, she elucidated, we live as part of the universe that surrounds us, we are not separate to it, we are magnetized just as we are influenced by the energy of its will. Tonight, in the underground chamber of Omnicron Ziggurat within the walls of Castle Dracora, all the men of my kind have become just like these animals you describe. The savage bloodshed will continue for the first 24 hours of the storm, they will not eat, they will not sleep, they will not tire - they are lost in the beserk of the storm.

EPISODE 42: THE VOICE OF ETEMENANKI

We decided it was time for me to go as it was unlikely I would get another chance, Lacerta was adamant about it.  She passed me the tome and asked me to guard it with all I had, for the history of the future was held within its pages, without it many would peril, and with the information, even more would be in danger. I thanked her for everything that she had done for me, she humbly accepted, what she has seen in a vision was confirmed by the book, it was her duty to protect it. She reached into a chest and passed to me a shimmering necklace, the jewels shone as if life itself was held in their core. As you travel the universe, she spoke to me softly, there is one barrier that I can aid you with, my kind have their own piece like this, it is how we can so freely travel, there is no tongue we do not understand. I wanted to ask her how it worked, how has she created such a device out of metal and stone but i knew there was not the time. Again I thanked her, and I ran.

EPISODE 43: THE BEGINNING OF THE GREAT LIBERATION

I'm not sure what is racing faster, my mind of my body. I know if I am caught I will likely be killed. I can't stop thinking about the contents of this book, but first I must free myself.

EPISODE 44: CRY OF THE WIND

I followed Lacertas directions as I traversed the inner keep. An eerie stillness occasionally breaks the howl of the outside storm. Swarms of nefarious creatures patrolled every corner; individuals I am not looking to face.

These halls are a convolution of evil, a shadow at the table of the Gods. The demons are creations from the hands that possess the knowledge, weaving the fabric of life. These poor souls.

EPISODE 46: CAUSATION

As I drew closer to the exit I was transfixed by a familiar echo. There is the path that we are told to take and the path that compels us. Two paths cannot be walked at once; fate is determined by ones will.

EPISODE 47: CONSTERNATION

There exists a sliver of time before fight or flight kicks in, as your brain catches up with the present. Frozen like a gazelle in the gaze of the hunter. That agonising shock that drives into the core of your soul.

EPISODE 49: TO EXTRICATE

When sombody is suffering, we all suffer for we are as one in existence, sharing a universe, existing together. The small differences between us matter little when we understand how connected we are as lifeforms, as energy and matter.

EPISODE 50: THE MOTHER OF THE HERD

Howls of disappear echoed from the depths of the shattered captives. They held one another and rejoiced, lulling themselves into a calmer state. With skepticism they gazed back at me, muttering in discomfiture. I understood them, it was if they spoke in my mother tongue. I reached out and assured them that I meant no harm, I am not akin to the devilish counterparts that have kept them here. There was an uncomfortable moment of disbelief, I withdrew myself to display my compliance, and then there was recognition. This was not the first they had seen me. In this blur of events It had slipped my mind that these were the two rogue civilians that I had encountered as Lacerta and the King Ablimek bellowed down from the hilltops.

They thanked me for freeing them, they had been subject to monstrous experimentation ever since we had first met, their escape was in vain as they fell into the hands of ‘the father of the animals’.

I described how that I too was seized, thrown into the darkness and that this is the time to leave this place. I helped them up and we ran to the door, I pointed the way that Lacerta had mapped out for me - I had to explain later how I had been freed; time was of the essence. I pushed to go forward, frozen hands grasped at my wrists, the chill of life shocked me. ‘There are more, we cannot leave them here.’ I was torn between the rational constraints that my escape was under and the irrational empathy for another life. I looked back at the captives and saw myself, two brains of man screamed at one another internally in a place where thoughts collide with emotions. I paused for a second. Do you know where we can find them?
